Default IBM ThinkPad G40 - Resetting Power On Password


I Have a IBM ThinkPad G40. I went to the website and follow the

procedure, but nothing happens. Is there a way I can reset it?

Unfortunately some think pads are very difficult. When I was in board repair we used to have to remove the chip on some models. Looks like yours may be one of them.

so should i try to find my bios chip and remove it completely off the motherboard?
