How can I manually remove spyware?

Removing spyware infection manually is not an easy thing to do. Normally, the best thing to do is to remove it by downloading a spyware removal tool to do it for you. However, there are still times when the spyware removal tool is not able to get rid of the infection and you would have to manually delete them.

Manually remove spyware using Add or Remove Programs

If you have failed to remove the spyware on your system using a spyware removal tool, and you want to manually get rid of it, follow these steps.

Reboot your computer in “Safe Mode”. Doing so would ensure that no spyware would be loaded into the system’s memory.

When in Safe Mode, click on the Start button and navigate to Control Panel.

Inside Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs. Once opened, locate the spyware software that was installed in your system.

Select it by highlighting the software and then click on the “Change or Remove” button and follow the instructions provided.

Once you are done, reboot the system to go back to normal mode. You may want to run your spyware removal tool again to ensure that your PC was completely checked.
