The PDF document format is a de facto standard for document and file sharing. The PDF format being portable, goes beyond the user differences of operating systems and desktop publishing software. It is a universally accepted email/file attachment that preserves and protects the document data and visual formatting. While various free PDF converters are available for every operating system, only a few handful programs are free for editing existing PDF files. Fortunately, a generous contribution for everyone’s PDF editing needs is made possible with www.PDFescape.com

PDFescape is a free online PDF Editor and Reader. With PDFescape, you no longer need expensive PDF editing programs like Adobe Acrobat for designing PDF forms or filling PDF form details.

The PDFescape control panels appear as soon as the PDF file is loaded.

Notice the familiar view which resembles that of PDF readers.
The top left menus give options for editing and adding Text, Images, Links, Interactve Form Fields, Lines and Erasures.

For this sample PDF, we will add a descriptive text title, include a sample company logo that is linked to the sample company website.

Click on the Text icon on the left control panel. Notice that the mouse changes to a text cursor. Click anywhere in the document to start typing.

Notice the text formatting toolbar above. You can choose diffent font sizes, styles, and colors. If you change your mind and would like to remove the text, simply click on the Delbutton.

To insert the image of our sample company logo, click on the Image button. You will be asked to locate the saved image on your computer. Choose and upload the image of your choice.

As soon as the image is uploaded, click on a point in the document where you want the image to appear. You can move and resize the image in the pdf. Click the mouse button again if you wish to insert a second copy of the image. Click the Del button if you wish to cancel inserting an image.

Next, we will link the uploaded image company logo to our sample company website. Click on the Link button.

Click a point in the PDF file that you would like to be “clickable” so that it points to a URL or a page in the PDF. The highlight shows the area that will be made clickable. Adjust the size of this link area to the picture or text in your PDF.
