Default Dual booting problem

I recently dual booted windows xp and vista on my dad's pc. It all went fine until I tried to connect to the internet on xp and for some reason it couldn't detect the network. It says its connected but it doesn't transfer information.

My dad's pc is connected to a server in his clinic and is a part of a workgroup. The internet works fine on vista but on xp it doesn't. Can someone please help?

Try to check IP address/gateway both and Vista. use IPCONFIG/ALL command in command prompt note it down and compare with windows XP ipconfig command results.
