Default changed SMTP, POP etc. Nothing helps

I have changed SMPT, POP etc. Nothing helps. Since this is the default program in Explorer, I must copy to documents then send with Hotmail. Is boring. Any ideas?

I'm going to assume that you are using Outlook Express, though you mention it nowhere in your post.

Hotmail has stopped allowing OE to be used with free accounts to try an encourage people to pay for the service of e-mail. If you still have it set up from before they implemented it currently still works, but there is no way to add new accounts or modify old ones.

My suggestion: gmail, larger server storage and works free with OE.

Default MS alternative...NO COST NETSCAPE

Why pay for software, then internet access and then to top it off, an e-mail service... I could never figure that out...still can't...

Get a copy of Netscape V7x not 8x, and use its Communicator function. Then use Firefox as your browser... And consider mail2web.com ... it will surprise you! Believe it or not, I still have a copy of Netscape 4x all fired up for emergencies...

And for anyone that want's to muck about with web pages, use the Composer function of earlier versions of Netscape...no cost to build...
