Default avg certification text

AVG's email scanner used to place the certification text in the body of the email. Now it attaches a document. I can't figure out how to change it back? Can anyone help? It is annoying to have these unnecessary attachments with each incoming and outgoing email.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

This is a common problem, here is the solution taken from AVG Forums

Quote:
Open the Email Scanner in the AVG Control Center and check to see which email scanner is listed... if its the generic Personal Email Scanner instead of the MS Outlook Extention plugin then you need to reconfigure AVG. AVG detects the default email client when it installs, you probably still had Outlook Express as the default at that time.

You can reconfigure the email scanners installed by...

1. Download the latest AVG Free installation package from [free.grisoft.com]
2. Run the AVG Free install file
3. Choose the Add/Remove components option and follow the setup wizard until you reach the email area
4. Select Advanced, then add the email plugin you want and remove the others (only have one installed at a time) and finish the wizard.
4. Restart your computer then test...

If the install file you have is the latest.. you may use it.. otherwise you will need to get a fresh copy.
