i have well beyond 400GB these days, plus 20GB external, 1 GB flash drive, 30GB iPod, and a box of 6 small hdds i don't use any more.
I have 3 OS installed on the drives, plus about 15 OS installed on virtual memory, taking into account, the numerous software apps i use for school and programming fun, it eats up space faster than you can imagine. My laptop have 20GB which i make do with, it's only a dual boot, i simply use my desktop as a server for my laptop
