Question speedtouch to internet explorer

Hi there, i connect to the internet via speedtouch, then i click on to internet explorer to get a web page.
Is it possible to get a web page by speedtouch on its own instead of having to click both,i am a novice with computing but think the question worth asking as no one i know has a clue.

what is speedtouch? dial up internet?
IE is the program which displays web pages a web browser, pending what speedtouch is, it could be possible to have it integrate with IE so you would only need to launch yout browser and the connection made automatically

Having used one myself a Speedtouch is a ADSL modem made by Thompson. And yes if you use IE you can just open it and IE will connect automatically, as long as your broadband connects as soon as you boot up your machine.

Default Speedtouch -- iTouch?

Hi,

I think Diamond means a macro- or mediakeyboard with different buttons for different funtions like iExplorer, Email etc. To be able to help we would need the make and model of the keyboard and the version of software/driver being used...

Cheers,

Petri

Well, IMHO the question doesn't make sense if he's talking about an ADSL device. And yes I know about the Thomson products...

His question does indeed make sense - Assuming a fairly generic setup, he will have an icon (Speedtouch) on his desktop to connect to the Internet. After double clicking this to connect, he will then have to double click the IE icon to open a browser window to use the Internet.

If your connection preferences are set to dial a connection when you attempt to access the Internet, you should simply be able to open IE and go to a webpage. If you are not already connected, it will either connect automatically or prompt you.

When I used one, it would connect automatically as soon as the device was detected so I didn't need to manually click on the modem icon.
