Ive been using AMD now for 2 years, and ofcourse I find it better than Intel in all terms, be it speed, performance, or any other benchmarks that the comparison gurus use...
Also, it comes way too cheaper than Intel

amd intel is only good for video encodeing anfd decodeing, amd dont rip you off my minipulateing you mind with higher frequenceys the AMD optron 144 which can be put in a 939 and can overclocked from 1.8 to 3.1 and be stable with a HSF not a water coolingkit

Especially if you're overclocking it, then you need some expensive fans.
yo bro. clocked to 2.6Ghz on a AMD Athlon64 3000+ Venice , cpu stable, on stock coolers =D check your temps. if hit 55-60 while overclocking, then change coolers =D

Good point, another factor is price, AMD is a little cheaper, IMO.

Ive always used Inetl as i use alot of apps and in my opinion you want AMD for games and Intel for work. Though each can handle the other.
I just find that intel really does handle my multi tasking really well.

I have a bad habit of doing 7 or 8 things at once and my intel machine always keeps up.

My husband AMD i find gets sluggish if i load it as much.
