View and write to Linux file systems using Windows

If you have a dual-boot setup of Windows and Linux, you might have noticed that Windows cannot view and write to the Linux partition. This is a bit of a disadvantage since you might want to copy some files (music, documents) and test them out on Linux. Fix this limitation and install Ext2 IFS on Windows.

Ext2 IFS is free software. Ext2 is the name for the common Linux file system, IFS means “installable file system”. Download and install Ext2 IFS from Ext2 IFS For Windows

Upon installation in Windows, you can check that it works by checking on the Linux partition. You should now abe able to open, view, read and edit files within the Linux drive.

Ext2 IFS gives you the option to assign drive letters to the detected Linux partitions
