Right Mouse Click Problem
 

Under Windows 2000, I am having a problem with the right click button on my MS Intellipoint mouse. When I right click in one of two users on a icon the desktop hangs with the wait (hourglass) and the only way to get back to the desktop is to either reboot or log off that user and log back in. If I right click in a window it will also hang window and I can close this window after the system tells me that that window is not responding. I created a second user and this is not a problem. The second user only has the basic Windows icons.

Hello Clubber, wouldn't it be worth just deleting the problem user account?
After deleting it, run a disk check on your drive during the next time you boot up your PC and take note of any errors that were fixed.

If you have any anti-virus\spyware programs, run a full scan with them as well.
