HelP!!
 

I am in the process of looking for a new computer, I have operating system ME and it is about 5 or 6 years old. I did not renew a virus program.....I KNOW BIG MISTAKE!!!......and now, I am having all sorts of problems and I gather it is a virus??

The BIG problem is that I cannot download ANY free virus programs to even scan to see if there is a problem with one.....Trendmicro says I need to update Java, but then I get a message about updating Active X...but that isn't possible either.....now I tried AVG and it never starts to download that program.......

Any suggestions?:confused:

In this situation it may be best to place your harddrive into another computer which has such software installed and perform the tasks with your drive as a storage or slave drive. Otherwise a formatting may be in your future.

As William said I would recommend formatting as well. You don't want to spread those viruses around. Also welcome to the forums. We are glad to have you.
