Help installing XP in pavillion DV5-1120ES
 

Hello,

Im about to buy a Pavillion DV5-1120ES, and I wanted to know if someone has install XP in this computer and if you have any advice?

The website shows that there are no drivers for XP to be used in this computer..

No, I have not tried and don't know if i ever will install XP to that computer. For those that might like to try...then the biggest issues that you will have is finding drivers that can be used in this computer that will work in XP.

In most cases like this...compatable drivers for the motherboard can be located by going to the manufacturer( not builder) website and checking the other lines that use the same chipsetts that use XP. The bigest issue wil be sound card drivers that will work in xp and also networking cards.

In my experience there have been a few new computers that drivers can't be found until the computer has been out for quite some time....gives a person a chance to write the drivers...
