It asks for Company, in the form. Wat do i put there? And also is this really free? Will i have to pay anything at all?

Hi Abraham,

Unfortunately, this program is for US residents only. Its not applicable to Australia.

Oh k. That's not fair is it? Can anybody do it for me, and then mail me the USB drive?

William_Wilson 03-10-2006 12:51 PM

I was able to do it, and confirm my e-mail, find out in 6-8 weeks if it worked, lol
Whether it actually works?
I was wondering about the company name as well... do you think it actually needs to be a real company?

I sent away for this deal, because it must be valid in Canada. The form has a category for "State/Province", and the drop-down menu lists all of the Canadian Provinces.

My main question is:

Can I delete the "Valuable Information", and then put my own stuff on it?

Yes of-course you can do what ever you like to do with it.

I wonder if anybody will actually receive their USB key... I mean, do you really expect Microsoft to give a USB key to about 100, 000 people? I don't. (oh yeah it's 100,000 people because I believe this was on the front page of digg.com with about 2000 diggs or something like that). I definitely think that only the first few people might have been lucky enough to get the USB's.

Oh well, time will tell...

William_Wilson 03-11-2006 07:29 PM

it's worth a try, i'm sure it only costs MS a dollar or 2 per drive, if they don't do it... they will lose all respect they gained with IE7.
*It's just a USB drive, happens to come with some data already on it. Delete it keep it it's your choice.

Risherz 03-11-2006 08:09 PM

Yeah you are right, it's worth a try (who know may be Microsoft is generous...?). And my guess is that that the people might lose their respect for IE 7 if Firefox 2.0 is really better. But you are right... what if they still give out the USB (even to Canadian residents)...

By the way I was wondering why the questions were there in order to get the USB drive? After deep thought I came up with something like this... If you answer all the questions right, then you don't need the USB, because you know most of the stuff already... if you don't answer the questions right then the USB drive might be for you, since you don't know anything.

I hope the questions weren't there to separate the people who want the USB from people who need the USB (because I have a feeling I answered all the questions correctly :))
