Will it be possible to upgrade this comp a bit, with still getting this offer and paying the extra money?

That is a really good deal. I think it expired, but I am hoping to get a low-end functional laptop for my work for the interim. I don't want anything fancy, but I have a lot of good history with Dell. Hopefully they have a similar offer available when I have my act together. I would hate to spend $50 less for a no-name generic laptop that is not half as good.

You can always upgrade with Dell, they're good like that.
I bought my laptop (Dell CSx) for $350 canadian, it's not the greatest, but it will run my compilers and debuggers so it's good enough :) plus it allowed me to write the Install Windows without Floppy/CD drive tutorial, lol
