Hello! How do you know that it's gone to the desktop screen?

Do you see anything when it boots up? Like options to go to bios?

Don't worry about the board unless it's has onboard graphics.

Otherwise, try a different monitor. A different monitor cable and a different graphics card.

If there is something wrong with the hardware then not much.

I would suggest trying without a hard drive.
There might be a problem with the drivers.
If it is on board graphics and there is something wrong with the bios then you may need to get an expert to fix it.

Try starting the pc with no hard drive in and try and get to the bios screen. You usually have to push F2.

Also check and replace the memory to see if that is causing the problem.

Just try and eliminate all other possibilities.
