Automatic Restart No More
Windows Vista is programmed to reboot immediately when a major error occurs. Unfortunately, it reboots so fast that you are not able to see the error message on screen and leaves you in the dark on how to solve the problem. So how do you remove that automatic restart option on Windows Vista? Click on the Start button, then on the Control Panel. Select System and Maintenance, then System, then Advanced System Settings. Look for the Startup and Recovery area and select the Settings button. The Startup and Recovery window will appear. Remove the check mark on the option to Automatically Restart Windows. Then Click Ok on all windows. So now, when your computer encounters a major error, you will have to manually reboot it since it will not do so automatically. |
