You need to boot XP (which happens auto) the download and install Vistabootpro. After that listen to this guy
Install Windows XP in a Dual Boot with Pre-installed Windows Vista that's what I'm trying because I have a Vista recovery disc that can't repair! Only format install. It seems from the explanation that VistabootPRO can change the boot entries from the XP area. I hope
