Default Netscape...

Thankfully, there was a relatively easy solution...

If you use Netscape, there is a function, that should be in IE as well, but since I use Netscape or Firefox mostly, I'll refer to the former ...

Under Edit at the top of the tool bar, go down to Preferences...then to Appearance...then to Fonts... check to see which one is in the default field...for each "tier of use." Now, how they work is beyong my ken, but fiddle around with each and see what transpires. Then as advised before, see if there is an acceptable font available... and if not download one and install it.

How to install: Start > Control Panel > Fonts > File > Install New Font...

There are a million of them out there on the internet...

P/S: it's handy to have a Font Viewer on board to be able to just see what they look like before an install...
