Default California Judge Blocks Anti-Violent Games Law

Apparently California almost passed a law which would require some segments of games considered violent to carry a big 18% label. Apparently the judge knocked down the law due to Freedom of Speech concerns.

So what are the thoughts here? Are parents even paying attention to the violence level of games their kids are buying? Would a big 18" label make any difference if the parents are not looking in the first place? Sure they might be given pause when buying the game themselves for the kids, but often kids will buy the game themselves or explain the violence aspects away to parents.
