works suite can't find, lost??

installed a program some months ago that stuffed up my computor, anyway after sometime got sick of it so uninstalled everything. this was last resort. have now reinstalled my xp and back on line. but unable to get into my works suite , don't have CD for it, can't remember where it is? but my works suite program should still stuck somewhere on my machine. only new at this so don't confuse me. help!! :confused::icon_sad:

I'm assuming you didn't format, but just installed XP over top of the old one?
This would replace the registry, and thus lose all the values needed for Windows to know the programs you had installed previously.
Is the program even on your computer?
C:\Peogram Files\
it will be in a folder called ms works, or works, etc if the program isn't on your computer you will have to find the cd. If it is on your comp, then you may be able to put the reg keys back.

If you have deleted MS Works from your pc and lost the CD which was provided to you bundled with a computer you purchased, you'll need to contact the manufacturer of the computer who supplied the applications to you.

If you have proof of purchase you can give it a shot here for Replacement of CD or Product Keys
How to replace lost, broken, or missing Microsoft software or hardware
