Windows Vista can't check for updates error 80070005
 

Have Dell computer with Vista 32 Home Premium Edition. Upon booting and later when using, the windows update in the task bar gives a message 'Windows can't check for updates.' I checked out the detail on this and it gives me error Code 80070005, Windows Update encountered an unknown error. I've googled it and went to several sites where there were many Vista users with this problem and several suggestions. I've tried them all and am still looking. Can you help?

Right now there just is not a fix for this issue!
It is somewhere in the permissions group settings but the fix is quite elusive
Check back in a little bit and see what develops.
