Win xp Prosfessional logoff hangs
 

We have multiple user accounts on our Win XP home computer. If you try to
logoff from any user, the system hangs. If you use the "Switch User"
function, you return to the welcome screen. Is there a fix for the logoff
problem? Any assistance would be appreciated.

When using the "switch user" option it should return to the welcome screen so that a new user can be chosen and logged in.

The hanging is due to low memory issues while trying to save the users settings when logging off. The memory hangs and doesn't release the applications to be shut down.
