What do I do?

Okay, I'm new here and was hoping to accidently stumble accross the answer I need... obviously I'm the only nitwit that doesn't know what to do about the following puzzle. I have winXP pro with sp2. however my drive C: has run out of space... due to all the apps and work I do. BUT on the other side of the partition I have yet another 80 gigs on my drive G:
okay... but wait!... shouldn't have I installed xp on the larger drive to begin with? Now... how do I get this done? Do I simply do a new install on G: then uninstall the one on C: or should I do something else... I know there's a simple proceedure that someone can let me in on... Thanks!

You dont have to install apps to the same drive that XP is installed. Most apps have a "custom" install option which allows you to change the install path.

Unless you have a compelling reason to reinstall Windows, I would suggest simply moving data and some of your applications to your other partition.

Photos, videos and personal documents can simply be dragged and dropped across but you will need to uninstall applications and reinstall them albeit selecting "G:" as the installation target. This will put them on your other partition hence freeing up space on C: and saving you from the hassles involved with reinstalling Windows on another partition.
