Build yourself a slipstreamed installation CD by using the I386 folder stored on your computer.

Nlite is a program that can be used to help you build the slipstream disc. Make sure that the license that you have installed is the one that you use.

You can use a program called SIW and under the secrets files it will display the activation key that was used to on that windows installation. Since you use the I386 folder from the same installation then it will work.

as to the lost files. There is no true explanation for anyone to not bother backing up their personal files other than just pure laziness. There has been too much discussions about losing files, protecting files and pictures and music and what ever for anyone not to know that they must do something to protect them. They teach it to kindergardners. There is just no excuse any more for not doing this to begin with.

There comes a time that it is just wasteful to not just accept the losses and move on.

reformat/reinstall
