Hey is there a way to use a USB port as a com port ? If so is there such a thing as a USB to 9 pin adapter and where do I get one ?

Thanks ! Is there a way ?

Cool Thanks for the reply on the cable converter. Now is there a way to ID or assign a specific USB port to be COM 1 ?

There should be an installation CD with the adapter that will help configure the settings for you.

Some applications such as cash register software must be installed in certain ways so be sure to research the software that you are planning to use before hand.
