uploading large file

I have created a family history / genealogy report (approx 200MB). Rather than copying to CD and distributing to family members, I would prefer them to download it. Question is, how should I go about this? I don't have a website. I would be updating the file periodically and would like to make it available to them. Also I'd like to monitor who is downloading (before they download). Hoping you have a solution for me - I appreciate all your replies

There are couple of options you can use to accomplish this.

1. You can use any of the file hosting sites like filefactory.com sharebigfile.com or fileden.com to host your file.

2. You can install/setup your own ftpserver.

Thanks Sami for your reply. I tried a couple of these programs and lost connection during the process. I'll keep trying.

You can try other option of ftpserver.

Here are couple of free ftp servers,

Cerberus FTP Server download from Ftp Servers category
BarracudaDrive download from Ftp Servers category
Core FTP Mini SFTP Server download from Ftp Servers category
FreeFTPd download from Ftp Servers category
edtFTPD download from Ftp Servers category
