The Snipping Tool of Windows Vista

Desktop users will surely be surprised about how the Snipping Tool works in Windows Vista. This tool is something not everyone is using all the time but having this gives an enjoyable experience. It is more flexible than the formerly used Alt-PrintScreen option. The Snipping tool, also, is usable for capturing a snip, any object on the computer, and a screen shot with either of the tablet pen or mouse and if you are using Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Enterprise, Home Premium and Windows Vista Business.

There are several options in capturing action. The first one is the Free-form Snip that is to draw a triangle or a circle around an object. Rectangular Snip is the second option done by drawing an exact line by dragging around an object to make a rectangle. The Window Snip, being the third option allows the user to capture a chosen window such as a dialog box or a browser window. Lastly is the Full-screen Snip which is performed to capture the entire screen.

All the capture results will automatically go to the mark up window in which you can do the annotation, saving, highlighting and sharing the snip.
The Snipping tool is found by searching in the Accessories list in the Start Menu or simply by typing “Snipping Tool” in the Search Box.
