Speed Up Searches On MS Windows XP

MS Windows XP can be configured to efficiently create indexes of the files and folders stored on the machine. This can be done by going to the Start Menu and selecting the Search option. Afterwards, choosing the Change Preferences option from the list will provide you with a means to configure integral settings of the MS Windows XP search indexing system.

Selecting the Indexing Service option will allow you to configure your MS Windows XP-based machine to efficiently search for your files and folders much faster. This can be done by adding "go" to your searches. For instance, keying in "go yellow pages" will provide you with a page that displays a form. This form can be used to search for phone numbers, addresses, etc. But if you want to search for emails in a faster way, key in "go email" will initialize a page that contains a form you can use to key in the specific information necessary for your MS Windows XP system to accurately search for the particular set of emails you need. Of course, you need not include the quotes in your search phrases.
