last week i installed fedora on my system but there is no sound , I installed it twice each time with proper care but still no sound my system works fine with XP them why am i having problem in linux , plz help

Which version of fedora did you install?

Try this minimize everything on your desktop and click Ctrl-o, this will bring up the master volume control and you can turn up things in there until you hear sound.

what exactly do you mean by installed? the OS, the hardware, or drivers?
XP may be able to auto-detect your sound card, while fedora may not have the capability for your specific card. You may just need proper drivers.
