slow shutdown
 

running windows xp home, when try shutdown or re-start takes over 1 min 20 secs too shut down, from when it says windows is shutting down.

Some times a tweak changes the terminal services from automatic to manual and this can cause this type of reaction.
Try changing it back to automatic to see if it fixes it.

control panel >>admin tools >>services and scroll down to terminal services and double click it to open. Change from manual to auto and ok out!
