Single USB Port does not work with USB Hub

i use a laptop having one USB port. OS loaded on my laptop is win2k when i connected multi port USB hub to my single USB port the multi port clashed and the devises connected to hub stopped responsing. Only one port of the hub works at a time. Does i require specific driver for it ? Pls. suggest me the way to use USB hub with my laptop

Hello, firstly I would check to make sure you have you have the latest service pack installed which will be available from the microsoft website.

Microsoft Downloads for Windows 2000

Then do some research on your usb hub to see if there are any additional drivers you need.
