Setting up a dual boot on a Vista System

Hi all!

First time post, so please bear with me.

I just bought a new laptop with Vista already preinstalled, and would like to install XP Pro for a dual-boot system.

I have read the tutorial on this sight concerning setting up a dual-boot on a Vista system, but was wondering one thing...in the tutorial, it is mentioned that I should have the installation disks for both Vista, and XP. I have the disk for XP, so that isn't a problem, but I don't have the Vista installation disk.

Would this present a problem?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, and happy computing!

Why have you not burned the disk from your computer restore program. You can then use it to pull what files you need or then use it to create a regular slipstreamed installation disc.

Yeah...already burned the discs through the restore program...gonna see if they work...
