What is Antivirus 360?

The Antivirus 360 is a type of software labeled as ‘rogue anti-spyware.’ It infects a computer system, and then persuades the user to purchase the product by showing bogus security messages. These messages state that the computer is contaminated with spyware, and the only recourse for the user is to download Antivirus 360’s trial version.

1. Find the Antivirus 360 path with Windows’ File Search

• Click on ‘Start.’ Go to ‘Search,’ and ‘All Files or Folders.’
• Enter ‘Antivirus 360’ in the ‘All or Part of the File Name’ search bar.

2. Remove Antivirus 360 processes with Windows Task Manager

• Press ‘Ctrl+Alt+Delete’ simultaneously to access the Task Manager. Alternately, one can also press ‘Ctrl+Shift+Esc.’
• Go to the Image Name tab and locate the Antivirus 360 processes by name.
• Choose the processes under Antivirus 360, and click ‘End Process’ to halt it.
• Delete the following files from Antivirus 360:

3. Remove the Antivirus 360 Registry Values with Registry Editor

• Access the Registry Editor by clicking on ‘Start,’ going to ‘Run,’ entering ‘regedit’ and pressing ‘OK.’
• Find and erase the entries with data values in the spyware files identified earlier.
• Right-click on the values and choose ‘Delete’ to erase the Antivirus 360 values.
• Find the following registry entries and delete them:

4. Identify and Delete Miscellaneous Antivirus 360 Files

• Click on ‘Start,’ go to ‘Run,’ type in ‘cmd,’ and choose ‘OK’ to access the Command Prompt.
• Enter ‘dir/A name_of_folder’ to display folder content and hidden files.
• Modify the directory by typing in ‘cd name_of_folder’
• Enter ‘del name_of_file’ once the file is located.
• Type ‘rmdir /S name_of_folder’ to delete an entire folder.
• Choose the Antivirus 360 process and click ‘End Process.’
• Erase the following Antivirus 360 process files:
