Problem Regarding Add or Remove Programs

When i wanted to uninstall a program yesterday, i found that i could not do it for some reason. I tried putting a pic of the problem, but it was above the allowed limit. Can anybody try to fix this?

Try now, and also give more details about your problem, like which program are you trying to remove, and what kind of errors you are getting etc..

You can try to edit the Image down to a smaller size in paint or any photo editing software.

I tried it, but it still is big. But it still keeps saying the same thing "Add or Remove Programs Problem.JPG:
Your file of 56.5 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 39.1 KB for this filetype." Sami can u try to fix this? I was trying update or repair my .NET Framework, when i saw that i couldn't along with many more software.

As Mike suggested try and resize your image, you can use any freeware program like Irfanview to resize your image.

Sometimes programs are not uninstalled properly. If you already deleted the files manually, you could search the registry with regedit and try to eliminate it from "Add & Remove programs" list. Else, you could get a program like Registry Mechanic to clean-up your registry automatically.

assuming the program really is still on your computer, there may be some part of the program still running in the background try stoping it with task manager or http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilitie...***plorer.html a task kill program such as this, it will allow you to stop even programs windows denies, so be sure of what you are stopping. Without more details regarding the error it's hard to know how to help.

About the registry, i think there are errors in it. Is there any way of repairing the registry completely?

Sami 04-10-2006 10:52 PM

Yes, you can try RegScrubXP Free Registry Cleaner to clean up your registry.

Will it repair the registry. I have got RegistryFix at the moment. It only delets the recently pened files and stuff like that. Will Regscrub repair the registry instead of cleaning it?
