Well... Pioneer have made good DVD burners for quite some time.
I use an older Pioneer (3 years old or so) burner with max speed 4x.
It still works just fine. And I can use any +r or -r (or rw) media on it
(at least I havn't found one that doesn't work!)

I guess I'll try to find a Pioneer burner for my next computer too :)

I've never used a Pioneer DVD burner before, but it seems to have got some pretty good specs.:)

Not too shabby, my dvd burner is so old, it's almost laughable, I have an HP 300i, which is now called the 300n, only supports DVD+R discs and max speed of 4X, but at 5400kb/s i'm not complaining, that's pretty fast, i've never had a miss burn with it in the 3+ years i've had it.
If i end up getting another someday i may give pioneer a shot.

I prefer LG better than any other brand. I've had heaps of stuff from LG like my DVD player, CD writer, my monitor, and many more more.:)
