Pinging problem

I am in a lab. I got this problem: All computers are connected via NIC in a single network. I got to have a compuer that has a single way communication.
This computer is within the network. When i ping this computer, from another computer, the connection couldn't be established. But this particular computer can ping other computers successfully. What may be the cause of this one way pinging?

it may be firewall issue, please disable the firewall on that particular pc & check

I have already disabled firewall on that computer. Firewall has nothing to do with the problem i guess.

Wild guess... ;)

I don't have a clue about any of this...so, off the wall. Sounds like a path is corrupted...

1. establish IP of both computers
2. search registry for "old" path of one to another; use paths that work from other unites as modules or models
3. be sure that old settings are still o.k.
4. you may need to write a new path between the mother ship and one of its satellites

The computers are connected through NIC card.
