No drive in My computer for USB

HI, I have MSI motherboard with 2 gb ram, 160 gb hard disk. I have problem using any usb devices other than my keyboard and mouse. If i connect any Usb devices to my pc it recognizes and says ready to use but is unable to show a drive in my computer. Can any one tell me what should be done

Hello, are you saying when you put in something like a flash drive there's no way of accessing the drive?
How about something like a usb camera? Does the camera work?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have never used a USB camera, But any mobile phone and pen drive when connected to my PC is said as "ready to use" but cannot find a drive to use it in My computers. I have also checked in disk management and found that the device is not listed

It could be a power issue, if the motherboard is not outputting enough power, it may still be able to recognize the usb device, but unable to interact with it.

Are you plugging the drives into usb ports on the front or back of the case?
Have you tried using an external drive with its own power cable to see if it works?

Thanks for checking the reply. I will check if the motherboard is working fine or i will try using a USB camera.
