Locking up

I have been on Shockwave game site for a long time. The games Magic Ball 1,2,3, have all locked up a lot. We did what they said & still locks up. I have a new computer, Everything has been updated. It is now affecting all the other games, they are locking up now. I have 2 drives & it has crashed one of them. We don't have the money to go to 'Best Buys Geeks'. If anyone has any suggestions, please send. Thanks.

Just to make this a little clearer, are you saying that playing Shockwave games is causing your machine to lock up?

I'm a little skeptical as to whether these games are the cause of a hard drive failure, though browser windows locking up now and again whilst playing games is not uncommon. Occasionally it's bad programming on the game maker's part, though by and large restarting your browser and trying again is enough. Have you tried using a different browser (Such as using FireFox if you usually use IE or vice versa)? If so, does this create the same problems or not?

Are you running the most up to date versions of both your browser and the plugins to run these games?

Let us know and we might be able to help you out.

It started with the magic ball 2. Then other games started it too. We found out they are all from the same company. Thats probably it. I did try the IE & same thing happened. So I took them all out of my drives. The weird thing is I can play them on my laptop, but it is so small I can't play them well. Thanks for the help.
