Right mouse click on the My Computer icon on the Desktop, it will tell you how much ram you have.

The bios screen on boot up will also tell you how much ram the computer has.

This is computer basics 101 stuff by the way...

another way couple of ways is to open system properties by pressing the "windows Logo" Key and the "pause/break" key at the same time and reading what it says that you have for ram.

or better yet:
start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system information and scroll down to memory...it will show installed memory and free memory as well!

Oldschool way

Windows Key + R type "cmd" in command window type "mem"
