How to calibrate your screen in Windows 7

To ensure that your prints are exactly like the colors that you see on your monitor, you may calibrate your monitor if you have Windows 7. This new feature is perfect for those who are using their systems for editing and printing images for commercial work. If your settings on the monitor are set to a high contrast level, you will not be capable of differentiating the mid-tone levels; and if you have a high level of brightness, the mid-tones will disappear. Calibrating the monitor of Windows 7 systems can ensure you that everything will always be picture perfect.

Follow the guide below if you want to calibrate your screen:

1. Navigate to control Panel > Display. (If you can’t see the Display icon, choose Large or Small icons from the View by menu)

2. Click Calibrate Color.

3. Follow the instructions on the next three screens that will appear and hit on Next on each page

4. Adjust the slider to adjust the gamma setting and then click on Next.

5. Click on Next two times and then make use of the sample photo as a guide to help you adjust your screen brightness. Click on Next.

6. Click on Next two more times to go to the color balance screen. On this page, you can adjust the levels for blue, red and green.

7. When you are done, click Finish. If you keep the Start ClearType Tuner checked, you will be brought to the ClearType tuner. You can uncheck this box if you are done tweaking this setting or if you do not want to change anything.
