How big is your hard-drive?

I own a 80GB here. i know what some of you are thinking, that's not enough. I've seen guys out there with 4 160GB HDs in their comps. :? ..never saw the point of those.

I don't keep much stuff, not a anime freak, or music, mostly games...

MrCodeDude 12-17-2005 04:25 AM

I'm on my laptop, so 80GB here. On my other computer, I have a 36GB Raptor and a 80GB and 120GB Seagate Barracuda drives. I do a significant amount of video editting, and the uncompressed video files are pretty big. I also like to archive movies on the 120GB drive.

I have two 80Gb HDs in SATA RAID 0, and it is super fast. SATA is awsome, so much faster than IDE. On my next system, im gonna get 2*250Gb SATAII HDs, because they are soo cheap now.

I own 80GB hard disk.. but I have not seen any pc with 160GB but I hav seen pc's with 120GB and you are talking about 250 GB .. .. if so they are out too.. what are you gonna do of that much of storage capacity ?

its about cost but what are you gonna do of that much capacity ?

JustNewbie 01-01-2006 10:26 PM

I've a 80GB and 40GB, all of them exactly 120GB. For me, I put videos into my hard drive and they eat most of the space, around 30GB. My advice, don't buy hard drives because it has the biggest storage, buy the ones that you think is enough.

1x 120GB Barracuda

I've got 80GB and its plenty of space for me. Several website editing programs and a bunch of games, a few gigs of music....its plenty for me.

ChatMod#1 02-09-2006 01:58 AM

I have got 60GB of HDD. It is allright, but i want like 1000GB so that i can start up a server and play heaps of games. :)

eShutterBUG 02-09-2006 08:02 PM

I've also got an extremely old MAC with 4GB, and a Dell laptop with 3GB. Pathetic, I know, but they can run some decent games.

ChatMod#1 03-08-2006 01:53 AM

Why would anybody have a laptop with 3Gb and a comp with 4GB. Is it like really old? I would just refurbish it, or upgrade it for a few hundred dollars.:)

William_Wilson 03-08-2006 09:46 PM

I'm running straight IDE drives, but there are 6 of them: 160 + 120 + 80 + 20 + 4 + 1.5, yes a 1.5, i have only purchased 2 of these drives so i take them whatever size they are. So i have approzimatly 385GB of space, and if i get the money i'll be swapping the 1.5 for another 160+, if you want to get technical i also have 12GB on my laptop and 30GB on my iPod, plus flash drives, etc, lol.
For the computer enthused, there is never enough space, i know... thank goodness for DVD burners!!

chocolatee 04-04-2006 02:42 AM

i think i only have 40gb...it's enough for my current use i guess...

a_brewsy 04-04-2006 07:19 AM

but i have put in a second 60gb hard drive, for abit more put
