Hard Drive Question
 

Hey guys, i was just wondering if it was possible to delete some stuff in my RAM? This is because my RAM is nearly all used up, so i was wondering if it was possible to do it. Also there are lots of stuff i dont use no more in my registry, like software and stuff like that, will i be able to get rid of them, and will anything go wrong? Thanks for any feedback.

It safely cleans junk out of the Windows 2000/XP system registry. All changes made to the registry are fully restorable to it's original condition.

Your RAM is not a place for 'deleting' as such, and it can be 'used up', but upon restart it is cleaned out and starts fresh, but there are things you can do to improve running performance and efficiency, one as Sami has listed, which will help after many progs leave memory leaks un your RAM, a similar effect can be had by creating a shortcut with this path:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
(I won't get into the long of it, but basically it processes the tasks loaded into memory and checks if they are being pointed to, if not it removes them, freeing wasted memory)
Another way to go could be to increase your virtual memory, it will not likely make your computer faster in all aspects, but will give you the options associated with more RAM. This can be done as follows:
right-click my computer, Properties, Advanced tab, under Performance click the Settings button, under advanced of the new dialog, click change under Virtual Memory. The maximum is 4GB or 4x1024MB = 4096MB, but i don't even suggest going that high, try increasing by 10% or so, and see what kind of difference it makes.

Thanks for that Sami and William. I would like to delete all the stuff i dont use no more from my registry. There are lots of programs that are there which i will never use, or which are not there on my comp no more.

As an avid registry hacker/editer, i advise against that. As far as registry keys go, they take up little if any real memory.
You can do this instead:
Clear your Pre-Fetch
do not disable it, just clear the list, your next launch of apps after restart will take a fraction longer, but any program which is not on your system anymore will not be able to be loaded into your memory ahead of time, wasting your memory, some of which is RAM.

William i already did that, and cleared all, but it came up later on at the same speed.
