Favorite MotherBoard Manufacturer?

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering, what is everyones favorite MoBo manufacturer? I personally like ABit and have never had problems with the few boards I bought from them, they are a little expensive, but it is worth it. Please vote and specify why. THANKS!

EPoX. They routinely produce great motherboards that are less expensive than their competitors.

I've had great luck with ECS, and while not everyone has, they're finally getting their feet wet in the enthusiast market with their KN1 Extreme.

Abit has kind of fallen off, at least in the AMD realm, since the NF7-S for the Socket A processors. I'd very much say that DFI has taken Abit's placing atop the enthusiast based markets.

I've had two ASUS boards, hated both of them. Bought a Gigabyte board to replace one of the ASUS boards, the Gigabyte board was marginally better, but it wasn't anything spectaular.

I have used most of these manufacturers in the past. MSI and ECS were okay, but I had trouble with both of them blowing up multiple motherboards in the past. I am currently running an an ABit KV7 (yes I know it is a bit dated at this point), but I have had no problems with it at all. Has worked flawlessly and reliably for me for a while now. I am scheduling a full system re-build for the next few months and plan to relegate this machine to back-up status.

Soon I will be looking for a new motherboard, but since my experience with ABit has been so good, I am likely going to look at them first. Other people often tell me the Gigabit boards are very good as well.

yes abit is good but Asus is satae of the art and also have a good rep for being reliable i would prefer Asus also because it has silant cooling on its latest MB and high overclocking capabilities

I have used ASUS in the past, but when I was using them, they always seemed to a step behind ABit. Especially when I was looking at Bios features and being able to easily over-clock the motherboard, track temperatures and such.

Been a few years since I have used ASUS, but I left ASUS to go to ABIT and I have not really looked back. I guess I will consider them when doing an upgrade.

What is their top-of-the-line AMD board right now so I can take a look at it?

Are you looking for a reliable web server or server board?

If you want a server...
I would suggest getting a managed server before you get your own server, because you need a good connection (Usually T1), becuase most ISPs will not allow you to run a webserver unless you pay more. It is also somewhat of a pain. Check out managed or even unmanaged servers if you know what you are doing.

If you want a server board...
Figure out what platform you want for your server, if you make a post and ask more about it I can help you out. Give details - budget, what you need it for, etc...
