dual boot (Xp & Linux)
 

What steps do i need to follow to install Linux where already Xp is installed.

The easiest way is to use a third party boot manager. In your case you can first use GAG (free) and then use Grub to set up the linux system.

Or you can use the CD version of Linux and not install it to your system...just boot to the CD and run it!
