Dos Doesn't work.
 

I download Dos 7 from here and it didn't work. I just like to know if anyone checks these programs works???????????????????????????????????????????
And by the way i am so sick asking for dos only to get dos boot disk lets move on

Funny thing that yours didn't work. I just downloaded it last week and it worked just fine.
Did you realize that it is an image file and that it must be burned by the proper burning software. You can't just download it and expect it to work!

In the downloads section...it is plainly labled as to FULL INSTALATION and which file is a BOOT DISC

It worked for me when I gave the link to someone else on this forum last week. That wasn't you was it?

Having said that I will now move on...

I downloaded last night, burnt it using clonecd and installed it into a fat partition on my Hdd

No problems there.

did you use the to burn an image option ?

you must burn the .iso file to the CDROM properly
otherwise how could you expect it to work


Anyway, who actually made MS-DOS 7.1?
it's not like M$ developed DOS71 and then released it to the public
if you look at M$ websites or search it on google
you'll find that dos71 somebody had extracted it and posted it on the web.

newdos.yginfo.net disappeared some time ago
because it hosted a pirated copy of dos71
But, Of cause, the DOS71 avail. for download is a perfect legal copy.
syschat is not a pirate website.

Why is it legal?
if you look at license.txt, you'll find that the software is released under GNU GPL Public license
so to ant extent Dos71 at this website is perfectly legal.
