Hey JN:

I'm currently using a Toshiba Tecra M7 tablet PC (Wacom tablet w/upgraded wacom drivers). and I love it.

Did a quick google for the product you're interested in and came up with microlight.com. My real question is why does the pen require a battery?

As Wacom is, really, the industry standard, none of their tablets require battery power as their technology isn't built that way. Other than that, you just need to make certain that the drivers that come with the product are supported by your operating system (Win XP, Vista, etc.).

Oddly enough, Win XP Pro & Media center have had built in drivers for wacom, and similar, products since service pack 2. The same holds true for Vista home pro and ultimate.

During my quick search for this tablet I also found this thread:

Mangaworkshop - Amateur Manga Artist Community :: View topic - The famous Tablet theard.

Here it's mentioned that Wacom has a refurbished products store where you may be able to pick up a deal.

Good luck

Going to make this short as this is the third time I'm trying to communicate this to you - seems that syschat doesn't like my ie7 or something.

At any rate, make certain that the drivers for this tablet are supported by your operating system. If not, you may have just purchased a flat square thing that is only good for resting a cool beverage upon while you're working on the computer.

Best of luck

Totally strange

Yeah, it looks like the actual first post I sent you as a reply finally posted. The second is still missing and the third, well, you got that one.

Must have been something odd with the forum itself cuz I kept trying to post but nothing showed up.

Gotta love technology!
