Corrupt backup file. Need software to repair corrupt bkf file.
 

Hey guys. I’m very upset as I lost my backup file. I’m trying to open it and I’m getting this off and on: “The backup file is unusable. You must erase it, or choose another file.”
I’m using Windows XP. All my essential data are saved inside the backup file. Any hope to repair the file? I heard about some software programs. But never used any. Any help?:icon_question:

Use any one of them. All are case effective. Or if wish then you can use BKF recovery tool from SysInfoTools. I used it couple of times. You can use its demo version first that is freely available. :D

I'm done with my problem. I used the demo version of sysinfotools bkf recovery tool as you suggested. It's good. But I can't save those repaired files. I'm getting a message when I'm trying to save them. What's that?

Well I wanna tell you that you can't save the output in demo version. You haven't read the T & Cs over there?

Backup files are generally created with ntbackup.exe utility in Windows. They help you to restore data after upgrading or clean install and most importantly during data loss. However, BKF files can itself get corrupted due to interruption during backup, CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) errors, virus attacks, sudden system shutdown, and other reasons.
