ContentLink

What is ContentLink? Every time my mouse pointer goes over a double underlined word I see a ContentLink popup. Can these be turned off?

Contentlink is an advertising tool used by websites to help generate funding for remaining in business. A specific word or wording is used to trigger the link which is normally an advertisement to a specific product related somehow to the word.

Most pop-up blockers will stop them from working!

Pop blocker not helping

lurkswithin-- Unfortunately my IE7 built in popup blocker is not catching these. I can't find a way to tell it to block these specific popups. Also there are so many sources from which they appear. Have you found a popup blocker that I can fine tune for this purpose?

Stuart, I have never used IE7 except for beta testing and I didn't care for it then. I have converted over to FireFox3 and the adblocker for it works wonders on those pesky adds...with no fine tuning at all!
A friend of mine uses the paid for AdMuncher application and swears by it to not only block the adds but also any pop-ups or pop-unders that come up in various websites.

Thanks for the advice on FireFox. I keep switcing between IE and Firefox for various reasons. It looks like it may be time to go back to Firefox again.
