change title and windows logo of start menu
 

hello to all,
someone told me that we can change the title and windows logo of start menu and replace with any other text and picture. Is there any kinda software available or we do it through registry.

This is a good program for changing the logo (boot picture) from windows.

There are actually 2 different places that contain the boot logo. It is totally dependent upon your computer manufacturer as to how to achieve this tweak to your system. Some are done solely through the BIOS and can actually be easily switched through a BIOS function and flashing the BIOS icon.

The other is done through a registry hack. The program I support doesn't hack the system just simply replaces the Icon Picture from within windows.

There are some programs out there that will also change the system properties logo and text for that properties box as well!

Yes you can change the start menu text and icon.
It is a hack, change at your own risk and make a copy of the original files before you change them, so you can copy them back if something goes wrong.

There are many tutorials on it. Here are the searches you want. Read a few and look for recent ones. Also make sure you are reading one that applies to your version, SP1, SP2 or SP3 as it may be different or cause stability issues.

This is different than Boot Screen and Logon Screen which there are programs to change them like, BootSkin and LogonStudio from Stardock.
